Situated in the Ozarks region of Northwest Arkansas, Rogers is a thriving community of roughly 70,000. In the mid-20th century, the city served as home to the first store to carry the Walmart name. Today, it’s the corporate base of operations for Daisy Outdoor Products, a well-known air rifle manufacturer.

Along with nearby Bentonville, Fayetteville, and Springdale, Rogers forms the core of the Northwest Arkansas Metropolitan Area. This thriving region is one of the fastest growing in Arkansas and all of the U.S. In the 21st century, Rogers has almost doubled its overall population.

History and culture are alive and well in Rogers. The picturesque downtown area features the city’s Commercial Historic District.  Several properties in this district can be found on the National Register of Historic Places. Northeast of town lies Pea Ridge National Military Park, one of the nation’s best-preserved Civil War sites.

Every year, Rogers hosts the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, a beloved event on the women’s LPGA golf tour. In addition, the city is home to the annual Komen NWA/Ozark More Than Pink Walk for breast cancer.

Rogers is also abuzz year-round with inviting outdoor activities. Notable opportunities for fun and recreation include:

  • 14 neighborhood-based parks
  • Five sports-oriented parks
  • Rogers aquatic center
  • Walmart AMP
  • Top Golf
  • Almost two dozen miles of hiking and biking trails

The 37-mile NWA Razorback Regional Greenway connects the city to several other local communities. Just east of town sits sprawling Beaver Lake, with a surface area of almost 32,000 acres. And adjacent to the lake, you’ll find Hobbs State Park – Conservation Area and the popular War Eagle Cavern.
