With a population of roughly 5,900+, Cave Springs boasts a unique combination of the urban and rural in Northwest Arkansas. The city is nestled amongst several larger municipalities, including neighboring Rogers and Bentonville. And just a short drive away, you’ll find the NWA Regional Airport. Nevertheless, this vibrant community proudly maintains its own distinct character and local flavor.

Cave Springs is named for a memorable local site with several geographic features. At one end of this site sits a cave that houses an active spring with an output of six million gallons per day. A second cave sits a bit further to the south. The basin in the middle of the site is known as Lake Keith. It serves as a primary habitat for the Ozark cavefish, a rare and threatened species. The cave system is also home to a large bat population.

In contrast to this distinguished natural setting are Cave Springs’ other prominent claims to fame. The city’s per capita income makes it Arkansas’ most prosperous city. In addition, it ranks in the state’s top three for average home value.

Nevertheless, the great outdoors remains a main focus of daily life in Cave Springs. Today, its caves and spring are protected by the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission. And like other local communities, it’s just a short drive from well-known recreation, hunting, and fishing destinations such as:

  • Devil’s Den State Park
  • Beaver Lake
  • Lake Fayetteville
  • Ozark National Forest
  • Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area

Every year, the community draws thousands of visitors to its Cave Spring Days festivities. All told, it continues to stand out as an oasis of calm and a gateway to both city and countryside.
